About the C.A.S.S. group:

C.A.S.S. Community Coalition is located in Cass County, Michigan. C.A.S.S. was first formed in 2007 under the former Michigan Office of Drug Control Policy grant; Strategic Prevention Framework-State Incentive Grant. The three year grant, better known as the SPF-SIG program, focused on reducing underage drinking and drinking driving deaths.

In 2010, when the SPF-SIG program expired, C.A.S.S. Community Coalition members voted to expand the focus of the coalition to include other drug abuse and addiction concerns specific to Cass County. Today, C.A.S.S. Community Coalition is continuing and expanding the great community awareness campaigns of it’s origins while widening the scope of the coalition to include long lasting community programming and support local, state, and federal policy and legislative changes.

The mission of the Cass County Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) Safety Solutions coalition is to provide a community collaborative approach to addressing the consequences of existing and immerging issues associated with the use, abuse, and addiction of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Through education, community standards, outreach and enforcement, we will promote what’s best for the health and safety of Cass County Residents.
